We’re delighted to be offering cello lessons with string tutor Isla. Isla is a skilled orchestral and solo player who has performed in many concerts both solo and with youth orchestras in venues such as the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester Cathedral, Stoller Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall. She has also been on orchestral tours in Northern Spain and Lake Garda in Italy. She is the principal cellist of the Hallé Youth Orchestra and Joint Principal of the Wigan Youth Orchestra. She also attends Chetham’s School of Music where she studies cello with Gillian Thoday.

Isla received a high distinction in her Grade 8 ABRSM cello exam and is working towards her diploma. Isla loves playing in chamber groups, solo and in an orchestra and enjoys a wide range of repertoire including contemporary, classical, pop and modern music.
