Offering a noticeable upgrade in tone, response and craftsmanship, the intermediate range is designed for developing violinists working through mid-grades, providing the depth, projection and refinement needed as technique and musicality progress. Each outfit includes a quality instrument, bow, case, and rosin and like our beginner range, every violin is hand finished and fully quality-checked to ensure smooth playability. Each intermediate violin features a hand-carved spruce top and maple back and sides, complete with inlaid purfling and an attractive antiqued finish. Ebony pegs, fingerboard and fittings come as standard, offering durability, stability and a more professional feel. Every outfit is supplied in a quality oblong hard case with straps, accessory pockets and secure fittings for safe and practical transport. As with all Booths instruments, careful sourcing is only the beginning — it is the final workshop preparation that truly unlocks each violin’s full potential.
Each instrument is labelled, dated and signed off by the technician responsible for the setup. If a teacher would like any aspect of the setup adjusted, we are always happy to accommodate.
Our intermediate violins are built to a strong standard and are ideal for supporting students as they move confidently through the graded system. However, what truly sets them apart is the depth of preparation and aftercare behind them.

Shipping on vouchers is available nationwide throughout the UK. For instruments, including our own Booths branded products, we offer local delivery only to BL postcodes. If there is no delivery option through the checkout, it will likely be due to the destination postcode being outside of these areas. Please contact us with any queries and / or if you’re outside of Bolton and would like to arrange dropoff. Click-and-collect is available for any purchase.
You are entitled to a full refund 14 days after receiving a product. For further information or return requests after this time period, please call Booths on 01204 522908. Instruments sold online have been checked through our professional workshop. However, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries about playability – our repair staff will always endeavour to help and resolve any issues.
