Welcome to our new Booths range of student classical guitars, carefully designed to give beginners the best possible start. While these instruments are thoughtfully sourced for quality and value, we know that a great student guitar is about more than just how it’s made. The final setup and attention to detail are what truly unlock an instrument’s potential, especially for complete beginners.

Comfort is essential when learning. A student should feel at ease with their student guitar from the very first lesson, helping to build confidence and avoid unnecessary frustration. That’s why every nylon-strung Booths student guitar is sent directly to our workshop on arrival, regardless of size, to undergo the same professional setup process.

Our student guitar setup includes:

Saddle adjustment
The saddle is carefully shaped and adjusted first. Correct string height is vital for a comfortable playing action — strings that sit too high can be difficult to press down and may discourage a new player from continuing.
Top nut adjustment
Equal attention is given to the top nut. A precisely cut nut ensures a light, responsive action at the lower end of the fingerboard, making early progress far more enjoyable.
String preparation and tuning
Each student guitar is tuned and the nylon strings are pre-tensioned several times to reduce the natural stretch found in new strings. This continues until the guitar holds its pitch reliably. Some settling may still occur once playing begins, but we’re always happy to help.

Items In or Out of Stock

All orders received by us are shipped subject to availability. If we are out of stock for an item someone will contact you to discuss delivery or refund options.

Shipping

Shipping on vouchers is available nationwide throughout the UK. For instruments, including our own Booths branded products, we offer local delivery only to BL postcodes. If there is no delivery option through the checkout, it will likely be due to the destination postcode being outside of these areas. Please contact us with any queries and / or if you’re outside of Bolton and would like to arrange dropoff. Click-and-collect is available for any purchase.

Returns

You are entitled to a full refund 14 days after receiving a product. For further information or return requests after this time period, please call Booths on 01204 522908. Instruments sold online have been checked through our professional workshop. However, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries about playability – our repair staff will always endeavour to help and resolve any issues.
